Blue Collar Jobs Occupations and Demands List

Blue Collar Jobs Occupations and Demands List

So here it is, the Occupations and Demands List for Blue Collar Jobs.  It’s a bit of a cracker, so if unsure make sure you run through the questionnaire on our How to Find a Job in the Mines article before trying to work out which one suits you.  There are more Blue Collar Occupations out there, but these are the ones with the highest demand.  We recommend you focus here first before branching out into a really specialised field.

With each listed Occupation there is a basic rundown of the daily tasks / roles and the course/s needed to qualify you. Below each occupation you will find a demand table.  The demand table will help you to quickly visualise the demand for jobs in your chosen occupation in the differing Industries and Type’s of Work.  As you progress through the questionnaire this will help you to determine the Industries and Types of Work that you should focus on, that will be of least resistance to getting you a start.

Decoding the demand tables MI – Mining,  HI – Heavy Industry,  EN – Energy,  IN – Infrastructure,  AG – Agriculture,  CO – Commercial,  DO – Domestic,  OP – Operations / Production / Process,  DN –  Drilling, Blasting and Exploration (Onshore),   DF – Drilling and Exploration (Offshore),  MA – Maintenance,  CN – Construction,  SD – Shutdowns,  PC – Projects and Capital Works

Green – High Demand,  Orange – Medium Demand,  Red – Low Demand

Note:  Please remember this demand table is just a guide to give you the most bang for your buck, whilst trying to get your foot in the door.  If you had your heart set on a certain occupation and it displays a red demand, don’t let us put you off.  Just be aware of it and know that you may have to work harder, longer or smarter to get your way in and possibly to have a fall back plan.  As we said the demand tables are just a guide, meaning they are a generalisation and will vary from project to project, site to site, location to location etc. For more in-depth Blue Collar Jobs Occupation info visit, http://www.cribhutdaily.com.au/category/occupations-list/
