About the Gawler Rail Electrification Project – SA

Quick facts:

  • Electrification of the Gawler rail line from Adelaide to Salisbury.
  • Stage One is funded by the State Government and will involve electrifying the rail line to Salisbury at a cost of $152.5 million.
  • Further funding is being sought to complete to electrification to Gawler.
  • Stage one is expected to create approximately 135 jobs per year during construction.
  • It is expected the South Australian Government will award the major contract in December 2017.
  • Works are estimated to start in early 2018 and run on until approximately June 2020.

An Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) is a collective industrial agreement between either an employer and a trade union acting on behalf of employees or an employer and employees acting for themselves.

We are yet to find any EBA’s for this project. As we find any EBA’s they will be added to this article.
