About the Tennant Creek Power Station Upgrade

The Northern Territory Government as the owner of the Tennant Creek Power Station has announced a $26 million upgrade.

Quick Facts:

  • 150km south of Tennant creek, NT.
  • Owner – Territory Generation (Northern Territory Government).
  • Project scope approximately $26 million.
  • Approximately 27 direct jobs expected to come during the construction phase.
  • Clarke Energy selected to deliver the project.
  • Expansion will involve the implementation of three 2 megawatt gas fired spark ignition reciprocating engine and a 1.5 MW diesel fired reciprocating engine power station to be located adjacent to the existing plant
  • Works at the plant are due to start June 2016 and be commissioned by December 2017.

An Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA) is a collective industrial agreement between either an employer and a trade union acting on behalf of employees or an employer and employees acting for themselves.

At this stage of the project no EBA’s are available. As any EBA’s are released they will be updated into this article.
