About the Alkimos Beach Development Project

Located 40km north of the Perth CBD, and 16 km to the north west of the Joondalup city centre, Alkimos Beach is a 710 ha development and a new major regional centre of the metropolitan north-west growth corridor.  When fully developed, Alkimos Beach is expected to accommodate 6,000 homes, 15,000 people, offer more than 60,000 m² of retail floorspace and function as a major employment region.

The new regional centre at Alkimos Beach will include an integrated public transport system, schools, leisure and community facilities and opportunities for businesses and jobs.  In addition, Alkimos Beach has been identified as a possible location for a major Hillary Boat Harbour-sized marina.  As a major new regional centre, Alkimos Beach will feature significant retail and entertainment amentity with the development of a district centre featuring discount department stores and major chain supermarkets.  It is expected that the northern suburbs rail line will be routed through the Alkimos Beach localities providing essential transport links with southern areas.

The initial 224 ha stage of Alkimos Beach is currently under development.
